Whitney Simone, M.D.
Hi! My name is Whitney, but my patients usually call me Dr. Simone. I’m a mom who does her best to use calendar apps to keep track of where everyone in my family needs to be, but I still get it wrong sometimes. I look forward to my morning coffee more than I’d like to admit. I wear a lot of caretaking hats and know what it’s like to have to re-prioritize taking care of yourself because I have to do it often.
I’m a University of Pennsylvania-trained Reproductive Psychiatrist (someone who specializes in times of hormonal change), and I work with women to address new or recurrent issues with their mental health in a way that considers the context of their hormonal situation in life. I love working with women in midlife because, as caretakers for so many others in their lives, their blossoming positively affects many more people than I could individually help.
Beyond my residency training, I have served as the “Women’s Mental Health Champion” for two medical centers and have additional training in integrative psychiatry and hormone therapy for perimenopause and menopause.
